Tree Planting on the River Banks in Agricultural Areas

(regular activity)

Residents and neighbours in agricultural areas plant trees to prevent erosion of the river banks and to create areas of shade. We've connected the students of LPP secondary school with the CRRC. ARRC financed the purchase of the trees as well as a sign set up on the site to commemorate the event.

Ever since, each year the farmers and/or the residents have asked for help to protect the shores from subsidence. ARRC supplies bushes, trees and labour.

Special Recognition

We'd also like to thank the City of Chateauguay for the printing of our resident guides and their support for our "Big Cleanup".

Thank you also to our present and future sponsors for our coming Gala des Amis de la Rivière Châteauguay.
